The Cobleskill Rescue Squad is an all volunteer agency serving the Village and Town of Cobleskill as well as parts of the Town of Richmondville and Seward. We currently have 2 ambulances and 1 off road utility vehicle for rescues and special event coverage. We are a New York State Department of Health Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Agency. We are always looking for new members. If you have ever been interested in joining send an e-mail from the contacts page. You do not have to be a NYS EMT to join. Some members help by driving or being support crew.
We are always looking for new members and new providers. Once a member is interested the Cobleskill Rescue Squad in conjunction with the SUNY Cobleskill Paramedic Program can get you certified as a NYS EMT-Basic at not cost to you.
Even if you don't want to become an EMT hands are always needed in the back of the ambulance. You can join to be a support crew member or become a driver. Every little bit helps.
If you have ever wanted to give back to your community or trying something new and exciting then the Cobleskill Rescue Squad may be the place for you!!
We meet the first Monday of every month, unless it's a major Holiday, at 7PM at the Cobleskill Firehouse for our monthly meetings; and every third Monday at 7PM for drills. Stop by either of those days and we'll be happy to give you an application and show you what we are all about.
Or click the PDF icon towards the lower right hand side and download an application before you stop by. It's that easy!
We also work very closely with the Cobleskill Fire Department. Check out their site if interested in becoming a Firefighter.
Remember you only volunteer once. After that it's a commitment!
